Privacy Policy
This privacy notice is designed for back2moving (Andrew McKean t/a back2moving) and informs you of how personal information is gathered, used and managed in relation to this website and client interactions.
At present we do not monitor your activity on this website – no tracking, no cookies, no pop-up banners… nothing.
1. Lawful Basis – Consent
back2moving has been given clear consent from each client to process and store their personal data for a specific purpose.
2. Data Retention
back2moving keeps client information for a minimum period of 10 years from the date of the last treatment or consultation. This is a condition set out in the practitioner insurance that covers the work of back2moving and is designed to help defend against a legal claim should one arise.
3. Data handling and client’s rights
Manual written data and consultation forms & notes will be kept in a locked filing cabinet. Due to the nature of the business offering a home appointment service, there is a period of time that this personal data is transported from client to home office, during which it is kept in my control or a locked vehicle.
Clients’ names and contact details are recorded in my accounting software (Xero), along with payment details at the time of occurrence. For more information – check out Xero’s privacy policy.
If an issue arises in which a client is unhappy with the way their data or information is being held or used, please inform me so this can be resolved in a timely manner. Each individual also has the right to complain to the ICO (information Commissioner’s Office) if they think there is a problem with the way the data is be handled.

All back2moving clients have the following rights:
- The right to be informed
- The right of access
- The right to rectification
- The right to erasure (inline with 2. Data Retention)
- The right to restrict processing
- The right to data portability
- The right to object
- The right not to be subject to automated decision making including profiling.
6. Children and adolescents
back2movng requires the signature of a parent (or guardian) if the client is under 18 years of age and must be present for the initial consultation. All parents / guardians must be present in the room with the therapist during treatment for clients under the age of 16.
